gajettes evolved from a love of all things vintage, years and years of collecting, and a head full of ideas. at an early age gajettes came to the knowledge that most vintage items are made to a higher standard - not often found in today's marketplace. longing to recreate that vintage standard (and not able to turn away all the homeless vintage goodness in the world) gajettes has created an orphanage of sorts - home to the overlooked, neglected and abused (most of the fiber variety - but there is no discrimination at gajettes). all of gajettes creations are handmade from these orphans - reclaimed and recycled fabrics, vintage trims, and salvaged industrial cast-offs all live together in harmony waiting for their chance at a new life. these orphans are given baths (in earth-friendly cleaning products), given throrough examinations, deconstructed, reimagined, LOVED, and ultimately transformed into uniquely designed + skillfully crafted pieces that demonstrate diversity and harmony can coexist. all creations are one-of-a-kind or limited edition (very limited) and are accompanied by the unique story of their materials' origin. each unique creation is longing for a happy home and a chance to start a new life. adopt a gajettes creation today - there's one with your name on it...
